The M.S. in Cybersecurity at USF is an interdisciplinary, fully online graduate program offered jointly by the College of Engineering (Electrical & Computer Science & Engineering), College of Arts & Sciences, and others. It’s designed to equip students with advanced skills in securing computing systems, networks, and infrastructure against cyber threats through areas like network security, software security, IoT security, hardware-based protection, and cyber‑physical systems defense. This 30‑credit program includes 9 credits of core courses (Data Networks & Security, Cryptography & Data Security, Advanced Data Structures for IT), 18 elective credits, and a 3‑credit cybersecurity practicum where students build a professional portfolio in lieu of a comprehensive exam.
