Cyber Skills

Introducing Cyber Skills, a dynamic and collaborative initiative aimed at tackling skill shortages in the cybersecurity sector. With a highly focused approach, Cyber Skills partners closely with key industry stakeholders. This is to address specific skills needs through flexible modes of delivery. This specialized education and training is meticulously designed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure the most efficient upskilling in targeted cybersecurity areas. It has the capability to scale up to reach hundreds or even thousands of learners.

Coordinated across four esteemed higher education institutes in Ireland, Cyber Skills is led by the Munster Technological University. It is also in close collaboration with Technological University Dublin and the University of Limerick. This strategic partnership leverages the expertise and resources of each institution to deliver comprehensive cybersecurity education and training programs. Supported by a significant funding injection of €8.1 million from the Human Capital Initiative program, Cyber Skills is poised to make a substantial impact in addressing national and regional skills shortages in the rapidly evolving technological landscape, with the potential for regional, national, and international scalability.
