Wow! Uh, what else can I say? Steve Gibson is an excellent authority in his field. Back in 2002, when both my employer and Steve’s company were hit by a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, I had the pleasure of meeting Steve. Steve and I met after he published the results of his investigation into the attack, which is a fascinating read to this day.
Steve is responsible for inventing “spyware” and the first anti-spyware application. Spinrite and ShieldsUP were both developed by him. In his podcast with Leo Laporte, he covers all the latest news in the world of cyber security.
Because of its length, I often listen to the podcast in segments. Again, though, it is fascinating to hear Steve’s take on various issues. Steve Gibson and Leo Laporte co-hosted the TV show.
